.FUTBOL: “Geeking Out” at the Sounders Game

The sun was shining … actually, it was sweltering on the downtown Seattle rooftop of the EMC/Isilon building. But there we were, in our black eNom/Rightside shirts working the crowd and, well, working the keg taps (a lot of hot, thirsty folks on that rooftop)!

It was Sounders FC vs the Colorado Rapids and Geekwire was hosting their third annual GeekWire Sounders Day event and we were a proud sponsor. I mean, what’s better than sunshine and soccer?!

Our “glistening” team passed out .NINJA sunglasses and ice cold beverages. The sunglasses were a hit; I mean can you believe there were people who were headed to an open arena game in 90 degree weather … without sunglasses? Don’t worry, we hooked them up!

Unfortunately later that evening, Seattle lost 1-nil. But, before heading over to the stadium, it was fun to get out into the local community, spread the word about Rightside and the new domain name program, and teach more business owners and individuals (not to mention diehard Sounders fans who were willing to sweat right along with us in pre-match support of their team) how to better personalize their websites and emails and rebrand their YouTube channels using a new domain name. Despite the loss, Geekwire .ROCKS, the Sounders know their .FUTBOL, and we can’t wait to participate in our next community building event!
